This website is designed to provide information for residents and visitors to Lake Groton (historically known as Groton Pond) in Groton, Vermont.

• July 4th weekend Boat Parade. Parade with be held on July 4th 2026 at noon with a rain date on July 5th.
• Nature Center -Hours: Tuesday—Sunday, 9:30am—6pm through Labor Day. Stillwater, Groton State Forest Activities August 11-September 6.
• Groton Nature Center Parking lot reconstruction will begin TUESDAY, 8/25. During this time:
  • There will be no  parking allowed midweek through September 4th
  • The Groton Nature Center will continue offering programs as per the calendar.  When we are present and able to, we will periodically open for any pedestrians approaching from Boulder Beach Road or the hiking trails.  When we do so we’ll hoist the red, white & blue OPEN sign out on the road.
  • Parking along Boulder Beach Road is discouraged.  Pedestrians may access all of the trails by following the orange DETOUR signs leading toward the building on the left side of the driveway.

• Groton Free Public Library Calendar– Note: Tai Chi on Wednesdays at 11 am.
• VT Federation of Lakes and Ponds including use of wake boats.
